Rolex Sea-Dweller
The majority of watch friends have always loved diving watches. In hot summer, diving has become an essential sport. This article will introduce three of the most popular Rolex diving watches. Now, these replica watches are significantly discounted and very cost-effective. Not only does it look good, but the movement is also good, making it a perfect choice.
Rolex presents a modern version of the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller, a re-enactment of the legendary diver’s watch from 1967. This 40mm technical diver’s watch is water-resistant to 1,220 meters. It features innovative Rolex technologies and devices, including a Cerachrom ceramic insert, long-lasting Chromalight luminous material, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, an Oyster clasp, and a Rolex Glidelock strap extension.
Initially designed for professional deep-sea diving pioneers, the Sea-Dweller 4000 is equipped with a helium escape valve patented by Rolex in 1967, allowing it to live up to the name of a deep-sea diving watch. The air pressure rises during a deep dive, and a cleverly designed safety valve releases helium from the case while ensuring the clock is water-resistant.
The Sea-Dweller’s unidirectional rotating 60-minute progressive graduated bezel allows divers to accurately and safely track their dive and decompression times. Equipped with a patented black Cerachrom bezel developed by Rolex, this model is made of highly scratch-resistant ceramic that will not fade even when exposed to UV light. The progressive scale is filled with a thin platinum film using PVD coating technology. The sleek black surface is equipped with Chromalight luminous hour markers and hands coated with bright material, which emits a long-lasting blue light in the dark and is easy to read.
Water-resistant to 1,220 meters, the Sea-Dweller’s Oyster case is a model of robustness and reliability. The unique middle case is made of solid 904L steel with strong corrosion resistance and a diameter of 40 mm. The triangular grooved case back is screwed by the Rolex watchmaker with a unique tool exclusive to the brand so that the case is completely sealed. The winding crown adopts Rolex’s patented triple-lock triple waterproof system, which is firmly screwed to the case, with a waterproof performance comparable to that of a submarine door, and is protected by a crown shoulder integrated with the middle case. In addition, the mirror is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The waterproof case of the Sea-Dweller 4000 provides optimum protection for the exact movement from moisture, dust, pressure, and shocks.
The new Sea-Dweller uses the 3135 self-winding mechanical movements developed by Rolex with a date display. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements, Caliber 3135 has received the Swiss Official Accreditation Timepiece certification, awarded exclusively to precision watches tested by the Swiss Precision Chronometer Testing Center (COSC).
The construction of this movement is the same as that of all Oyster watch movements for unparalleled reliability. The balance swing component is the heart of the watch. It is equipped with a blue Parachrom hairspring patented by Rolex and made of a unique niobium-zirconium alloy. It is not disturbed by magnetic fields, it is highly stable even in the face of temperature changes, and its shock resistance is more robust than traditional hairsprings. Ten times higher.
The Sea-Dweller’s Oyster bracelet features an Oysterlock safety clasp that prevents accidental buckle opening and a dual-stretch system for comfort even in wetsuits up to 7mm thick. The Oyster discount telescopic link extends the strap by an additional 26 mm. At the same time, the Rolex Glidelock buckle allows the belt to be developed in steps of 2 mm in each section, up to a maximum of approximately 20 mm.
